Schedule Compass Privacy Policy

Effective September 29, 2026 · Published by Waypoint Ink

Schedule Compass is a weekly planner that runs on your own device. We don't have accounts, servers or analytics, so we never see or collect your information.

What the app stores, and where

Your name, courses, credits, work shifts, plans, school dates, routine settings, look and color choices, and handwritten notes are saved only on your device, inside the app. None of it is sent to Waypoint Ink or anyone else. If you uninstall the app, this information is deleted from your device.

If you choose Save a backup or Download this week, the app saves a file to your device. What happens to that file afterward is up to you.

What we collect

Nothing. Schedule Compass does not collect, sell, share or track personal information. It has no ads, no analytics and no tracking.

Photos of your school calendar

When you choose a photo of your school calendar, the text in it is read on your device. The photo is never uploaded. The first time you use this feature, the app downloads its free text-reading engine (Tesseract) and English language data from public download servers (cdn.jsdelivr.net and tessdata.projectnaptha.com). Those servers receive a standard web request, including your IP address, but never your photo or anything you've entered.

Fonts

The iPhone and iPad app has its typefaces and photo reader built in, so it makes no outside requests. In the web and Windows versions, the app's typefaces load from Google Fonts the first time the app opens, and are then saved on your device. Google receives a standard web request, including your IP address, but nothing you've entered. See Google's privacy policy.

Google and Outlook calendars

You can load a calendar file (.ics) that you export yourself, and it's read on your device. The app never signs in to your Google or Microsoft account. If you tap Add to Google Calendar or Add to Outlook on a deadline, your browser opens that service with the deadline's name and date filled in, and from there that company's own privacy policy applies.

Children

Schedule Compass is made for high school and college students and adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and it collects no information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
